Parking Fines

If you’re thinking our fines in America are expensive then what would you think if you came out and your illegally parked car was smashed by a tank… yes one big giant Russian TANK!  And to add insult to injury the mayor of the city comes and shakes your hand to let you know he did it and you shouldn’t park illegally. 

It sounds like a Candid Camera moment but here is the Youtube video to show you how one mayor in Lithuania is taking his streets back!

Not to worry about anything this drastic in our city, but while you are staying with us at, Hampton Inn and Suites Alexandria, you may want to watch out for these areas do to high traffic enforcement:

D.C. gives out nearly 2.5 tickets per resident, more than double that of New York.

Cars that violate the new meter laws will be subject to fines, which range from a $25 fee for an expired/overtime meter to a $100 fee for blocking a bus zone.
