We get a lot of groups for many reasons. One of my favorites to work with is our family groups. Some call in for family reunions, birthday parties, anniversaries… well you get the idea. The reason this is one of my favorite kinds of groups is because of the reason for this event. It’s usually a fun or exciting reason and well worth getting together for.
I know weddings fall into this category as well but those there seems to be more stress in getting that kind of event together. Don’t get me wrong I love those events as well; it’s just in another category than these others which are more loosely put together due to not as much anticipation or hoopla involved. Let’s face it their not called “Bridezilla” for nothing. But I digress.
These events where family and friends come together for more casual but no less important reasons gives me an opportunity to glimpse the love and caring side of that family. In many ways it is inspirational and encouraging to see a group celebrating a moment in time that can never be duplicated. It’s in times like these when my team and I play a small role in making this event perfect that lets us know why we’re here.
